New Justin: The mayor of Coppell, Texas, and her daughter were found dead in their home with gunshot wounds to the head, officials in the suburban Dallas city said Tuesday.Authorities did not disclose a motive for the deaths. But Mayor Jayne Peters’ home showed no signs of forced entry, the city said in a statement.Peters and her 19-year-old daughter, Corinne, were found dead Tuesday evening by officers who had been sent to do a welfare check on the family.The officers had gone to the home at the request of the city manager’s office after the mayor did not show up for a scheduled council meeting.
